Payment systems that require people’s eye or face scans: is this technology safer than usual passwords?
Nowadays
we are using technology to pay for the payment which makes our day become easier
when we have a busy schedule. Also for this process we do not need to be in
queue. Mostly we use our credit cards for this system which needs password. There
are good hackers who can get our passwords using different apps. Therefore we
need to go for some approach which they cannot find our personal information.
Fingerprints and Online security has
become increasingly important, forcing service providers to come up with better
measures such as two-factor authentication to defend user information.
Companies are turning to other parts of our bodies to find biometric
complements that are up to the task, and our faces and eyes are at the top of
the list. Although facial and eye-based recognition appear gimmicky for now
(the Galaxy Note 7's iris
scanner, anyone?), they may soon become as prevalent and popular as
fingerprint scanners. That pairing could eradicate passwords and clunky
text-message two-factor verification altogether, making it a completely
biometric process.
In my opinion face and eye scans are much
better than previous password. Why I said this because this type of scan helps
to identify the people and caught someone is trying to resemble to the person. But
if we use password anyone can pay from your card if they know the password. Also
there are people who are very good at get our passwords in different ways.
