114. If new software requires more memory space on computers, how many terabytes will an average user need to working online in twenty years?
Here I would
like explain at first about terabytes. Terabytes defines a unit of information
equal to one million million (1012) or, strictly, 240 bytes).
Terabytes are most often used to measure the
storage capacity of large storage devices. While hard drives were measured in
gigabytes for many years, around 2007, consumer hard drives reached a capacity
of one terabyte. Terabytes are also used to measure
bandwidth, or data transferred in a specific amount of time.
Before buying a computer or laptop u need to
think about how much you need. It is better you buy such things according to
your needs. For example if your computer for convenience- light , internet
browsing, watching you tube, writing document , then you are fine with 2 GB of RAM.
But if you run multiple programs at once and keep dozens of browser windows
open at once , you might want 4 to 6 GB of RAM installed.
20 year ago people are not very familiar
with digital devices and use limited apps.
In that time normal people use 2 GB of RAM as they do not have many
things to do with technology.
