Strand:Culture
The study of culture examines the socially transmitted beliefs, values, institutions, behaviors, traditions and way of life of a group of people; it also encompasses other cultural attributes and products, such as language, literature, music, arts and artifacts, and foods
.
Sub-strand: Society and The Environment
The Environment and Society specialization within the Geography major provides students with an understanding of the reciprocal relationships between social and environmental processes. Environmental geographers are concerned with how human beings use the earth and how humans impact the environments in which they live.

Case method combines two elements it is the case itself and the discussion of that case. A teaching case is a rich narrative in which individuals or groups must make a decision or solve a problem. A teaching case is not a "case study" of the type used in academic research.

Case studies are chosen for teaching based on how rich the narrative is, and whether the people in the study are required to make a decision or solve a problem. When using case studies, the focus is not on the data or the analysis. The students analyze the case and try to find ways to find solutions and solve problems.

By providing relevant information and knowledge, skills and attitudes, the study of Social Social prepares students to grow up as active, responsible, and reflective members of Society. It also teaches them to address societal and global concerns using literature, technology and other identifiable community resources.

cultural environment is a set of beliefs, practices, customs and behaviors that are found to be common to everyone that is living within a certain population. Cultural environments shape the way that every person develops, influencing ideologies and personalities. So the case study can provide information  related to it.

Case studies are often used in exploratory research. They can help us generate new ideas (that might be tested by other methods). They are an important way of illustrating theories and can help show how different aspects of a person's life are related to each other.
