Discovery learning
Discovery learning is an inquiry-based, constructivist learning theory that takes place in problem solving situations where the learner draws on his or her own past experience and existing knowledge to discover facts and relationships and new truths to be learned
Teacher can ask students to observe or predict today's weather. and ask them to make an object which will help in today's weather. They will discover the things by them self.
Discovery Learning is one of the general
social studies strategies and as such it is very open-ended and broad. The book
describes this strategy as any activity that the teacher structures to help
students find answers on a particular topic through problem solving
